We sell a variety of feeds for all different ages of chickens.

Our poultry treat range provides a good mixture from mixed corn, to pecking blocks to even tasty porridge mixes !

Chick Feed

Chick feed usually comes in the form of a 'Crumb' this so its easy for the baby chicks / ducklings to eat.

Chick crumb should be fed to your chicks or ducklings ad lib- this means available for them to eat at all times. You should feed chick crumb until the baby chicks are around 6 weeks old. It is a good idea to feed a chick crumb that is between 16% & 19% protein.

Ingredients:
Wheat, wheat feed, expelled soya, calcium carbonate, soya, expelled linseed, peas, grass meal, di-calcium phosphate, salt, vitamins and minerals, natural vitamins, sodium bicarbonate, Apex 3010.

Analysis:
Protein 17.5%, Fibre 4%, Methionine 0.3%, Vit A 12000iu/kg, Vit D 2500iu/kg, Vit E 80iu/kg.

Growers

Growers feed usually comes in the form of a 'Pellet' they are slightly bigger than the chick crumb.

Growers pellets should be fed to your chicks ad lib- this means available for them to eat at all times. You should feed growers pellets until the chicks are around 17 -18 weeks old. The growers feed is lower in protein than the chick crumb, this is so they can eat ad lib without putting on to much weight.

Quality protein provides essential amino acids to support rapid muscle, tissue and skeletal development as the bird grows

Layers Pellets / Mash

Layers feed usually comes in the form of a 'Pellet or Meal also known as Mash or Crumble'

Layers feed should be fed to your poultry ad lib- this means available for them to eat at all times. You should feed layers feed when your poultry are approaching 'Point of Lay' this is usually around 16 / 17 weeks old. Layers feed is formulated to provide a balanced diet for all types of laying poultry. When looking for a layers feed higher protein is better!

We also stock fancy feed during the summer season, All feeds are available in 20kg bags, Allen and Page is also available in 5kg bags.

Treats

We sell a wide variety of tasty treats for chickens !

For good strong egg shells and optimum nutrition, treats should only be fed in the afternoon, after your chickens have eaten their Layers feed and no more than an egg cup full for each bird should be given.

It is important to give chickens a treat in the afternoon to prevent boredom, which can lead to feather pecking. Treats can also be useful if you need to train your chickens to go into their run/coop at a certain time of day. They will get the sound of treats !
